Medical device manufacturer, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, has issued a field safety notice concerning Ligaclip Extra ligating clip cartridges (Product code LT300).
The manufacturer recently became aware of the distribution of counterfeit Ligaclip Extra ligating clip cartridges. It was purchased in the United States from an unauthorized distributor. According to the manufacturer, the performance, mechanical properties, biocompatibility and sterility of the counterfeit products could not be confirmed. The manufacturer advised users not to use the products if they suspect the product is counterfeit.
